Tempura
Tempura was brought by the Potuguese to Japan and is a very popular.
This dish has also made itself quite popular within Japan and all around the world. Tempura is kind of a finger food, containing differing types of vegetables and / or seafood fried in a unique batter. The ending result is a tasty treat which is crisp without being heavy, as is sometimes the case with deep fried foods in America. The ingredients harnessed in tempura are too plentiful to possibly list and can vary wildly from one restaurant to the next.
